Walk Well

I used to think that walking well with God meant walking perfectly.  I have come to learn that there is no such thing as walking perfectly.  We can only come to learn how to walk well, through whatever life may hold, with a perfect God.  God has held my hand and has walked with me as I have walked through extreme joy, extreme sadness, through fear and doubt and even through the valley of the shadow of death.  He calls us to just keep putting one foot in front of the other and keep walking with Him.

  2. Betsy,
So sorry that I have missed your comment...I'm not yet in the practice of checking comments on my "pages". This concept of "walking well" was introduced to me by a very wise Christian mentor of mine. It really struck a chord with me and was a perfect fit for the title of my blog when I started it. So glad you have stopped by...I look forward to your return visits!
    Blessings,
    Bev

  4. Karen,
I am a firm believer that we all need mentors in life. I will come alongside you and pray for that special person too! I'm also happy to be a cyber-mentor if you ever want to run anything past me?! Thanks for the Mother's Day wishes - it turned out to be a good day!
    Blessings,
    Bev

  5. Hello, Bev -
I was reading a post from (in)courage today (Wait in Hope) and came across your comment about the post. Your comment hit me in the heart and I just had to come over and let you know that. I am in a season of waiting (which has been my entire life). Weeping endures for the night, but joy surely does come in the morning. Thank-you for sharing your heart - I encourage you to keep doing so...you never know who you are going to touch at any moment. I also have to echo Karen's comment above - I thought the exact thing when you mentioned having a Christian mentor...oh, how I would love one!!! May God continue to richly bless your life.
    Grace and Peace,
    Amy

    1. Hi Amy,
I'm sorry it's taken me a couple of days to respond...I've had so many things swirling around in my head to write. But, your comment here brought me back to earth to realize that relationship is what life is truly about...relationship with God and with each other. I would welcome the opportunity to be a mentor to you...I know it's not in the flesh, in person - but until one of those comes along I would love to connect with you through email, text, etc. Please feel free to contact me at my email address :) Meanwhile, know that I am praying for you...I don't know exactly what you speak of when you say you've been waiting your whole life? I can take some guesses, but would love to know...I look forward, hopefully, to hearing from you...
      Blessings and ((hugs)),
      Bev
